Act now to stop UC pension benefit reductions

Below is SBFA’s official letter to members regarding recently proposed changes to the UC pension plan.  The University of California is currently considering introducing a new pension plan for its employees hired after 2016.  These proposed changes will dramatically reduce pension benefits for most new faculty. The Academic Senate will be reviewing the proposals over the next few weeks. Your opportunity to provide input to the Senate lasts just a couple weeks.
