Act now to stop UC pension benefit reductions

Below is SBFA’s official letter to members regarding recently proposed changes to the UC pension plan.  The University of California is currently considering introducing a new pension plan for its employees hired after 2016.  These proposed changes will dramatically reduce pension benefits for most new faculty. The Academic Senate will be reviewing the proposals over the next few weeks. Your opportunity to provide input to the Senate lasts just a couple weeks. Hello SBFA Members, Below are some informational links regarding informational updates on the changes to UC pension and retirement funds as proposed by the UC Regents-appointed task force. The Pension Taskforce Napolitano appointed to come up with options has now reported.
