It is time to renew the SBFA board. Our bylaws require that the Executive Board be made up of a minimum of seven, with a maximum of eleven members, who are elected by the members of the Association. These individuals comprise the Executive Board.

This year, the SBFA will run an election for three new members of our board. We invite you to consider running for election or nominating members you believe would be strong faculty advocates. Nominees must be members who have been in good standing as of April 1, 2022. Please send your nominations (including self-nomination) to ucsbfa@gmail.com by May 10.
We’ve gotten through this year: with historical labor actions, housing challenges, attacks on shared governance and academic freedom nationally, and pandemic recovery concerns. There is so much more to be done!! Come join us for making social change and improving the university as our workplace.
