These are some of the important issues on our campus that have prompted the Faculty Association to hold a public forum on Academic Freedom and Shared Governance. Please come! The event is on Wednesday, March 9 from 4 to 6 pm at the Loma Pelona Center. (The Loma Pelona Center is located on campus near Manzanita Village and San Rafael residence halls. Our featured speaker is Professor Hank Reichman, Vice President of the American Association of University Professors, and active member of the AAUP standing committee on academic freedom. Professor Constance Penley (UCSB Film and Media Department) will provide a response. Then we want to hear from you. Refreshments provided.
