We are writing regarding the arrest and charges filed against UAW members from Scripps Institute of Oceanography arrested for allegedly writing chalk messages in support of their union. You can find more info here.
A group of faculty have organized a petition to send to the District Attorney, asking that the charges be dropped. SBFA is an endorser. You can sign the petition here. The letter and petition will be sent to the DA on Thursday, so if you want to sign, please do so ASAP.
There will also be a rally on Monday. All are welcome:
